Discover Minnesota Gold!
Minnesota has a rich heritage of participation in the Olympics as evidenced with the medals won by 12 athletes in the 2018 Winter Games. These remarkable citizen-athletes contribute to their sport, community, state, and even globally. Over the past six years, Patrick Mader has interviewed more than 100 Minnesota Olympians and preserved their stories, lives, perseverance, challenges, and achievements in his book, Minnesota Gold, the only book on Minnesota Olympians on the market. He has presented with a few of the Olympians in their hometowns and witnessed how approachable these "next door neighbor" modest athletes are with students and staff. Come learn about your fellow citizens by watching this entertaining and engaging multimedia program and discover another form of Minnesota Gold--its citizens!
