There are a lot of good teen writers out there, but very few with published books. Twice published teen author Justin M. Anderson is hoping to change that. In late 2016, he started up Sigma's Bookshelf, www.sigmasbookshelf.com, what is believed to be the first and only free book publishing company exclusively for teen authors. The company now has 12 books on the market authored by teens between the ages of 13 and 19. In this session, Justin's mother and company co-founder Rachel M. Anderson, will explain how the company came about, give a good overview of the steps involved in bringing a book to market, and share how you can help empower the young writers you work with to get their stories published. Educational tip sheets on novel writing will be made available to participants.
