Polly Carlson-Voiles

Polly Carlson-Voiles lives with her husband, Steve, and her dogs, atop an ancient rock in northern Minnesota, a short canoe paddle to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Here they can hear wolves howl and can see for miles in every direction. Polly is a retired Minneapolis English and special education teacher. She won the Northeastern Minnesota Book Award twice, Someone Walks By: The Wonders of Winter Wildlife, a book about how animals survive our fierce winters, and for her m middle grade novel, Summer of the Wolves, about how nature can sometimes help accept losses and give strength to move on. This book was also a runner-up winner for the Maud Hart Lovelace Book Award in 2016.
